Flying & Gliding

Joining the Air Cadets opens up a world of opportunities - not least of all the chance to fly. Whether that's in light aircraft, gliders, helicopters, or even currently serving RAF aircraft such as the Eurofighter Typhoon or the Chinhook helicopter - the sky's the limit!

Shooting

Shooting

No matter what age or level you are in cadets, you're sure to get the chance to operate and train on a number of weapon systems in a safe and enjoyable manner. Prove your skills, and you'll even be able to progress on to competition standard shoots!

Drill

Drill & Discipline

Drill isn't just about showing your best on the parade square - master the discipline and skill it takes to parade effectively, and those life skills will carry over into all areas of your life - both inside cadets, and out.

Adventure

Adventure Training

Rock climbing, hill walking, kayaking, offshort sailing and winter sports - if you're feeling adventurous, the Air Cadets have a lot to offer. You'll work on teamwork, build confidence, make friends and develop leadership skills - qualities that follow you wherever you go!

Duke of

Duke of Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a programme that, in the DofE's words, 'inspires, guides and supports young people in their self-development, and recognises their achievements.

Your life as a cadet won't all just be on squadron - there's a world of RAF stations out there, and you'll have the chance to visit many of them, learn about and experience life in the RAF, and have fun while doing it!
